It's my birthday today!


Today, believe it or not, it's my eighteenth birthday! :)

18 March 18, not bad, right?

My Father has already given me the greatest gift, a two-week stay in the U.S. with young Catholics of my age. I'm so excited and so happy! I could not get better!

This morning, my beautiful mom woke me up by my favorite singing happy birthday. While I ate my lunch, Dad called me, which made me a great pleasure! When I arrived at college, at noon, my friend Chloe came to me with a huge smile and banana hugged me, wishing me a happy birthday. When I got home from school, two envelopes waiting for me on the kitchen table: one of my grandpa and the other members of the fraternity Mary Hope the center Leunis , I attended this fall. The two cards I was very touched, but the members of the fraternity even more because I did not expect to receive any card from them! (She is super nice, and more, adorned with a kind of butterfly shaped purple flowers:) Their words to me were so nice ... I also received a phone message from my best friend, my almost sister, Camille (Cam!). She'll be at my dinner party Saturday, I can not wait to see! In fact, Saturday night I'm going out to dinner with my parents, uncle, aunt and two cousins best cute the world, Benjamin (10 years) and Alexandre (1 year old).

First impressions

Hi all, Here I am
for 3 days Kookaburra Backpackers. I've had my first day at work yesterday and I must say that it is far from being stressful for the moment. Basically, the hotel is dead for now and the restaurant too. It must be said that, contrary to what I had read, it was not so sunny as that. M I said, it is hot all the time and was about 5 huge showers of 15 min per day. This makes a lot of water anyway. In addition to the expected cyclone just go to Fiji Islands for the next weekends. Last night I filled out the registration form for summer camp Magdalen College . I was asked to list my extra-curricular activities, or religious slurs. and write an essay explaining why I wanted to go. When I finished, I clicked on submit and a window was displayed, promising me that they would contact me within a few days. Well,

I just discovered I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED!! : D: D

You have no idea what that means to me. It's really a dream come true! I t's a dream come true! ( Since I will spend two weeks and do not talk to think in English, although I must start somewhere, so do not be surprised if I write from time to time one or two sentences in the language of Shakespeare ha!)

I speak a little with the woman but nothing is really clear what she expects from me and she is a bit too enthusiastic to ring true. I learn that in fact the girls live in the house of the woman and that in addition to the household soccuper they should spend their time with the woman to distract her. I'm already more very hot. A few hours later, I order to eat and when the waitress brought my plate m I say "thank you" ... normal. - Location: in Brisbane.

- Debut: March 29.
- Hic: I do not feel my super comfortable al. C is like the perfect family.
2) - Housing: a room for me, but home with pool.
- Location: Nundah, a village 15 minutes by train from central Brisbane.
- Work: Hyper cool: no obligation, but preferably from 16h to 19h.
- Pay: $ 60 per week.
- Debut: March 16.
- No problem: very nice family.

Like usual, my connection is too short. This trip was wonderful, certainly one of the finest and most intense. Too bad that all good things have an end.

My father taught me just now that my mother and he had agreed with my plan to spend two weeks Summer Camp at Magdalen College! New Hampshire, here I come! I'm so excited, happy, relieved, all you want! My dream come true! I'll be able to spend time with people my age who love the Lord and chose to go to a camp where we celebrated mass every morning! :)
